Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral Therapy is a non-invasive, relaxing, light touch, hands-on therapy that is practiced worldwide by doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, chiropractic doctors, dentists, and other health care practitioners. It is not massage, though many massage therapists do use it in their practices. Dr. John Upledger of the Upledger Institute developed the techniques in the 1950s, and his institute and others have trained many health care specialists to do this amazing, gentle work.

Based on cranial osteopathy, Craniosacral Therapy is applied while the patient is fully clothed. The treatment works to assist your nervous system to treat restrictions, strengthen your immune system, and ease pain and mobility problems. Therapists are trained in diagnostic placatory techniques that allow them to guide your work for quick and lasting nervous system changes.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT)

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) is a gentle, light-touch therapy that was developed by French Physician Bruno Chikley. It is useful in detoxifying the body and increasing the flow of lymphatic fluid in the body to amplify the effects of Craniosacral Therapies (CST). Use of this therapy results in greater movement, less restriction, and is particularly useful in pre- and post-operative site care, sinus drainage, and many other disorders in which fluid movement is crucial.  Effective and gentle, it assists the body in its own work.
